Sufferance and Anger

MY FAVOURITE DROPS

“The tigress roamed but did not pounce.”

Tadiwa’s TAKE

This excerpt is great symbolism of controlled power and transformation. Indeed, reading Sufferance & Anger reframed the way I see anger, not as a flaw, but as a messenger. The author’s journey shows how suppressed pain can either destroy or transform us. The connection drawn between personal rage and systemic injustice is powerful. The author’s work with “black boys” becomes both an act of service and resistance. It is clear from the chapter that anger can be sacred when it leads to awareness and change, reconciliation with oneself can heal generational pain, and strength isn’t the absence of anger but it’s learning how to use it wisely.
