It exposes how colonial legacies, religion, and social hierarchies have shaped how we see ourselves and each other. Her reflection on “the British Protestant mind” was eye-opening, showing how deeply ingrained moral binaries shape societal behaviour. We must understand our history to rewrite it. Liberation begins with recognising how culture scripts our roles, and then consciously rewriting that script.
